I believe that while diagnostic labels can be helpful, they can also be limiting and stigmatizing. I prefer to work with you to understand your experiences and context. I can offer support with problems relating to emotions, identity, grief/loss, sex, relationships, substance misuse, eating difficulties, self-esteem, neurodivergence, and trauma, among others.

Whether you self-identify as neurodivergent, are exploring the idea, or if you have a formal diagnosis, you may be struggling with feelings of alienation, isolation, burnout, or overwhelm. As an experienced and specialist clinician, I offer an affirming, de-stigmatising space to make sense of these experiences – where your ways of being and communicating are respected, not treated as problems to be solved.

I have undergone extensive Continued Professional Development around trauma, including sexual abuse, coercive control, attachment, and developmental injury. I can help you address relational difficulties, flashbacks, anxiety, fear, avoidance, and hopelessness at your own pace, in a way that feels right. I will work with you to recover a sense of safety and wholeness, honouring the unique skills you developed to survive.

I offer both face-to-face and online counselling from my private practice in Snaith, East Yorkshire. Sessions usually last for 50 minutes, but I can extend them to 75 minutes if you prefer more time to talk; this is often most suitable for neurodivergent individuals.
Rates begin at £50 per session - please contact Catalyst for further details.
I recommend committing to a minimum of 6 sessions initially.
This will give you the chance to settle into the work, and build a sense of whether it is right for you.
