What I can help with
I believe that whilst diagnostic labels can be helpful, they can also be limiting and stigmatising. I prefer to work with you to understand your experiences and context. I can offer support with problems relating to emotions, identity, grief/loss, relationships, substance misuse, eating difficulties, self-esteem, neurodivergence, and more.
Trauma & (c)PTSD
I have undergone extensive Continued Professional Development around trauma including sexual abuse, coercive control, attachment and developmental injury. Flashbacks, anxiety, fear, avoidance and hopelessness are common issues, which we can address sensitively and at your pace. If you have experienced trauma, I will work with you to recover a sense of safety and wholeness, recognising the unique skills you developed in order to survive.
Bespoke Services
I offer face-to-face and online counselling from my private practice in Snaith, East Yorkshire. Sessions typically last for 50 minutes, but this can be extended to 75 minutes if you would prefer more time to talk; this is often most suitable for neurodivergent people.

It is recommended that you commit to attending a minimum of 6 sessions.
